Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 50,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world. Its core programs today include greening schools and promoting environmental education, accelerating the global green economy, A Billion Acts of Green Campaign, The Canopy Project, The Green Cities Campaign, and other initiatives.

ONE PERCENT FOR THE PLANET

1% for the Planet connects businesses, consumers, and nonprofits, empowering all of us to drive big, positive change. More than 1200 member companies across 48 countries give 1% of their sales to 1%FTP which allocates those funds to more than 3300 nonprofits working for the benefit of our world’s oceans. To date, 1%FTP has given more than $1 million back to blue.

LIFE WITHOUT PLASTIC

Life Without Plastic (LWP) is the one-stop online shop for safe, high quality, ethically-sourced, Earth-friendly alternatives to plastics for everyday life. LWP is committed to education and advocacy on the plastics issue and acts a hub for information on plastic and plastic alternatives, while also offering ways for anybody to take action to reduce their plastic footprint on Earth.

TRASH IS FOR TOSSERS

Lauren Singer created Trash is for Tossers to document her zero-waste lifestyle and help readers minimize their waste with DIY recipes, advice and other tools. Over the past two years, the amount of trash she has produced can fit into a single mason jar. In her search for no-waste, non-toxic and fully labeled home and personal products, she developed a laundry detergent comprised of only baking soda, washing soda and Castile soap, leading her to launch The Simply Co.

Project AWARE

Project AWARE Foundation, a registered non-profit organization, mobilizes the world’s divers to protect our ocean planet – one dive at a time. With their underwater skill set, the dive community is uniquely positioned to contribute to global solutions by participating in Dive Against Debris, Project AWARE’s year-round underwater debris removal and reporting program, and advocating for the protection of sharks and rays in peril.

ACHILLES INTERNATIONAL

Achilles International is a nonprofit organization with the mission to enable people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics in order promote personal achievement, enhance self esteem and lower barriers to living a fulfilling life. For more than 30 years, Achilles International’s workouts and specialized programs have helped disabled children, adults and veterans around the world reach amazing physical accomplishments, like conquering the NYC Marathon, and find hope, inspiration and joy along the way.
